Accessing Calculation Groups from BI Tools

Consider the following when accessing Calculation Groups from BI Tools:

• Calculation Groups are presented to the end-user as Dimension Attributes. They may also be organized in folders.
• Calculation Groups are executed by combining them with the Dimension Hierarchy or Attribute referenced in the Calculations and a set of Measures.
• Additional Dimensions may be added to the query to see their effects on the calculation for the set of measures.
• To reduce the number of calculations, use the Filter or Slicer features of the BI tools.
• Only one Calculation Group may be used in a query at a time. Using more than one Calculation Group will result in either empty cells or an undefined run-time query error.
