Installing PostgresSQL JDBC Drivers

Before you can connect to AtScale from Tableau, you must install the PostgresSQL JDBC driver. Tableau requires this to connect to and query AtScale models.

Prerequsites

Before you can connect to AtScale from Tableau using the PostgresSQL driver, verify that the metadataExport.driver.type engine setting is set to postgres. For more information on changing engine settings, see Changing Engine Settings.

Procedure

To install the PostgresSQL driver:

Download the Java 8 42.7.3 JDBC driver from the PostgresSQL download page.
Copy the .jar file to the Drivers/ folder under Tableau's install location. You may need to create this folder if it doesn't exist.
