About Repositories in Design Center

A repository is a container for one or more AtScale models and the different objects that it is comprised of.

Repositories allow you to share datasets and dimensions between a collection of similar models. For example, you may want to create a different model for your marketing and product teams based on the same clickstream data. The repository contains the physical datasets and logical dimensions that can be shared between the different models.

To make the models in a repository available to BI client tools, you must deploy them. To the BI client tools that connect to AtScale, a deployed model looks like a table in a database.

Note: AtScale repositories are managed via Git. For more information, see About Git Integration.
