Calculated Metrics

A calculated metric uses an MDX expression, often in the form of a mathematical formula, to combine, evaluate, or manipulate other metrics defined in the model.

These calculations are performed in the AtScale engine after results are returned from the data warehouse that you are using. Therefore, they can operate only on the metrics that already exist in the model.
