Accessing Calculation Groups from BI Tools

Consider the following when accessing calculation groups from BI Tools:

• Calculation groups are presented to the end-user as dimension attributes. They may also be organized in folders.
• Calculation groups are executed by combining them with the dimension hierarchy or attribute referenced in the calculations and a set of metrics.
• Additional dimensions may be added to the query to see their effects on the calculation for the set of metrics.
• To reduce the number of calculations, use the Filter or Slicer features of the BI tools.
• Only one calculation group may be used in a query at a time. Using more than one results in either empty cells or an undefined run-time query error.
